Privacy policy
Plain-language summary of what we collect, why, and your rights. We keep the data we hold about you to the minimum needed to run the service.
Who we are
Irish Property Insights is a property-data service for Ireland. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below, contact hello@irishpropertyinsights.com.
What we collect
Account details— when you sign in, we store your email address and, if you use “Continue with Google”, the basic profile Google shares (name, email). We do not receive your Google password. Usage — standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics to keep the service running and improve it. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
The property data itself
The sale prices, localities and trends we show come from public open-data records (the Property Price Register and granted planning applications) — not from you. That data is already public. We never publish a valuation of a specific home.
Why we can use your data
We process your account data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), and usage data to keep it secure and working (legitimate interests). If we ever send marketing email, it's on the basis of your consent, and every message can be unsubscribed from.
Where it's stored
Your data is held in the European Union. We use Supabase (authentication and database) and Railway (hosting), both configured to EU regions, and Resend for transactional email. We keep account data for as long as your account is active, and delete it on request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. Email hello@irishpropertyinsights.comand we'll action it. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update this page. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be notified to signed-in users.
